Meet the guests of episode 041:
Andréa Viza is the Director of Talent for the United States Digital Service (USDS). USDS is a group within OMB that hires technologists using the tour of service model that works across multiple agencies to help transform public-facing service for the American people. Andréa leads all People initiatives that span talent management, talent acquisition, workforce analytics, operations, D&I, and employee experience. Andréa holds a B.S. in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management from Virginia Tech.
Chris Kuang is the Co-Founder and Director of Operations of Coding it Forward. He has led the organization’s growth and strategy since its inception through partnerships with leading federal agencies, mission-aligned organizations, and philanthropic partners.
Chris has also worked as a Research Assistant for the Technology and Public Purpose Project at Harvard Kennedy School. He is a 2020 graduate of Harvard College, where he studied economics and mathematics. Born and raised in and around Boston, MA, Chris is a proud Bostonian and a diehard fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
Zeryn Sarpangal is the Chief Financial and People Officer at Code for America. Prior to joining Code for America, Zeryn worked in various roles on the business side, most recently as Chief Financial Officer at Achaogen, a public biopharmaceutical company focused on the unmet need of multi-drug resistant bacterial infections. She also has prior experience as the Vice President of Finance & Operations at Identified, an HR data analytics company, an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, and a healthcare investment banking analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She lives in Burlingame with her husband and two daughters.
