As many of you know February is Black History Month so of course we have to do something to celebrate the culture! So in order to celebrate Black Tech Unplugged is going to be sharing video stories of Blacks in tech everyday, ALL MONTH LONG. The purpose of the videos are to introduce and learn more about people in the Black Tech Unplugged community. Also, we wanted to showcase to the world our awesomeness and let people know we are here to change the future!
Of course that means that we need videos to share… and that’s where you come in. I would LOVE if you would participate and submit a video. The video doesn’t have to be long, complex, or fancy (unless you want it to be), but the questions that need to be answered are:
- Your name, your role, where you’re from
- How you got into tech
- What being black in tech means to you
- What you see for the future of tech in regards regards
If doing a video isn’t your thing but you want to support, head over to our social media pages: Instagram, Facebook, or our brand new Youtube page *SURPRISE*
Yes, you read that right, Black Tech Unplugged has created a YouTube page where we will be posting more video content. See one of the first Black Tech Unplugged YouTube video below with Deena McKay detailing the February Black History Month campaign:
